  1. May – Aug 2026

    Sharjah, UAE

    Mechanical Engineering Intern · Khatib & Alami

    • Ran HVAC cooling-load analysis in HAP for large residential towers, modelling every space across up to 17 floors and applying ASHRAE 62.1 / 90.1 to produce flow rates and plant loads.
    • Designed district-cooled chilled-water systems for the Verdana Master Plan in Dubai Investment Park (Reportage Properties): flow rates, pipe and insulation sizing, and AutoCAD piping layouts across five-plus sub-communities.
    • Calculated ventilation, fresh-air and exhaust requirements to ASHRAE, including ACPH-based corridor smoke management, and sized ducts and selected diffusers against manufacturer data.
    • Designed plumbing systems (drainage fixture units, water-supply and sewage flow sizing) for multi-floor buildings including Tecom Innovation Hub, then built a fixture-count automation tool with Claude that cuts 3–4+ hours per building.
    • Applied the UAE Civil Defense Fire & Life Safety Code to select and specify fire-fighting systems by building classification.
    • Processed temperature, pressure, flow and load data across 15 Energy Transfer Stations for a district-cooling project, and ran pressure-loss calculations for the Bvlgari Lighthouse tower after an on-site inspection.
    • Modelled water pipe runs in Autodesk Revit on a live MEP project, verified calculations and drawings, and helped prepare technical reports and design-handover documents for client submission.
    • Built Datum, a multi-user web app that combines five HVAC and fire-safety calculation tools for the MEP team.

    • Followed up with 100+ prospective-student leads from online advertising campaigns, guiding them through the application process.
    • Maintained and updated 200+ prospective and current student records across university databases, keeping documents and information current.
    • Represented the university at the Najah University Fair 2024 in Abu Dhabi, engaging prospective students and families and promoting academic programmes.
    • Staffed the admissions reception desk, welcoming visitors and answering questions on admissions procedures and programmes.
    • Led weekly campus tours covering academic offerings, facilities and student life.
